 It would be very helpful for me if someone could suggest where to buy one of these cards (used may be OK as long as it works). I know I can try an auction site; but perhaps some member of this Forum has a better or different idea. Andrés, If you are wanting a card for the 48SX, apparently HP used the 82215A (128KB) card for some products other than the calculators. There are some vendors out there that still stock these. I myself purchased one for $99 some time ago. Here are some websites that display a reference to this item, but it is hard to tell if they actually have them for sale! http://www.ptltest.com/spectrum_analyzers.htm http://www.xsequip.com/Product%20Photos.html http://www.geocities.com/survcalc/access.html On the other hand, if you are looking for the higher capacity cards for the 48GX, these were made by a number of 3rd party companies. I have not searched for these, since I cannot use them. Hope this helps.

Aren't they just PCMCIA cards (PC cards)? How about the ones on the lower-right corner of Digi-Key's catalog page at http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T091/P1165.pdf which go out to eight megabytes? ▼

No. In fact, they might even pre-date PCMCIA cards. HP 48 cards have contacts on the side that look a little like the contacts on an SD card, but they are covered by a protective metal shutter on HP-approved cards; PCMCIA cards have contacts on the end inside tiny holes. |
