Hi,
the only programs which are always on my HP-48
are the
- CF.LIB
- Stk6 lib
- B2 (Chars lib)
- SpeedBrowser
- A1 (NSKey replacement)
- A3 (RSKey replacement)
- LIB.LIB
- RPL48
- my Tools lib
Back when I used to program on the calc itself,
I had the StringWriter (up to version 3.1?)
as the only not_made_by_Detlef_or_me software;-)

Raymond

The most useful program for my HP67 is the program for evaluation of up to the 18th degree polynomial all (real and complex) roots using Bairstow's methods. The polynomial coefficients are real.
I have used this program many times and it never failed to find all the roots. It was very important to me in the calculations I have dealt with.
Regards.

My premier HP program is "Molliersches h,X-Diagramm für wasserfeuchte Luft", just to calculate the values of air conditions, dew point, minimum temperature if cooling with water ("Kühlgrenztemperatur"), state after mixing air at different states. No need for a h,X-diagram or steam pressure table. Nothing but an HP-41CV.
It is the only program in my life I was able to sell, but only once. My prof at FHT Mannheim gave me 50 deutsch Marks for it as he saw that I was allways the first to give an answer and the correct answer too.
Feel free to contact me for a copy of it with a description in german. When I find the time to translate it I'll send it to Dave to publish it here.
Ciao.....Mike

Maybe not my first HP program, but this one was used in high school.
At that time accountancy was a big deal in our economics lessons. The exam lasted 4 hours and amongst difficult things was the need to list an error-free trial balance.
Besides I realized that sums of many numbers were always correct at the first time when using my 41CV.
What you needed there was as much as accountancy knowledge than organization skills. And that's where my 41CV helped me a lot : I wrote a sort routine (the non effecient bubble routine, but worked perfectly) to sort all my accounts and not to be messed up by lines that were a bit everywhere in my listing.
And, contributed by my 41, I was the only one in the classroom to have a total debit = total credit trial balance and total ledger = total journal...
