IIRC, this project died some 2 years ago. Difficult to tell exactly, since it faded away. IMHO it suffered from too less project management.
Edit: Used your link and found, in its present state, this site being no real good advertising for RPN anymore :( Does anybody know who is entitled to purge (or close) it?

Funny you should mention that. I'm in the process of locking down and restoring the documentation site to at least make available what work has been done. If time permits someday or if the time seems right to seek community involvement in OpenRPN again I will gladly ressurrect it. You may see changes from time to time if I find information to add or update, but the project has been effectively stalled for a couple of years now.
If anyone needs any information, has any questions, ideas, comments, suggestions, etc. feel free to contact me.
