I don't know something about the HHP device (this was a company called Hand Held Products), but I know something about a device by W&W software, a big german provider for HP-41 articles. Maybe this is just a labeled HHP product. Here a quote from my 1987 Educalc Catalogue:
EPROM BOX (W&W Software)
An EPROM box the size and shape of a card reader! It plugs in just like the card reader (using only one port), but it stores up to 32 k of EPROM storage. Now you can have huge application programs or giant amounts of fixed data at your fingertips. Application areas include survey calculations, oil field computation, flight support, insurance analysis and other areas where small size and large memory requirements are essential. Programming for the EPROMs can be accomplished through the EPROM Programmer (Stoch #TI-615) or supplied as an EPROM Service (see seperate description) Stock #41-526 (EPROM Box).............145.95
end quote
I think I could try building such a thing, if somebody else is interested. This is just a matter of my spare time. Anybody interested?

Steve, Depending on what you want to do, there are a couple of things that would work better. Reinhard Hawel's suggestion is one of them, and another manufacturer (Eramco Systems from the Netherlands) made them as well. Much easier to use than EPROM, and in the case of a cardreader. The other option is EPROMS that were made to fit into a standard Hp-41 module. These are prgrammed by the HP-41 itself with a small programming fixture. The bad news, all of these things are tough to find. I have most of them, but you have to look for a long time.
