5% Rebate for a 41C Blanknut :-)

#12

Hello all,

yes, I know, it's not so good to post a link to the auction site, but I just couldn't resist to tell you to hurry up and buy this HP-41C Blanknut! The seller is so lonely that he has made a 5% rebate offer! Let's make an effort, so that he can enjoy his News Year's Day! :-)

I'm a little disappointed ans sad :-): wouldn't a HP-41C Blanknut worth that price?

Greetings.

Jean-Michel

I found a few things about it comical, like the free bookmark.

I thought its serial number was interesting: both parts of the serial are prime numbers (2113A01889). But then I noticed my HP-41CV shares the same property (2819S21701)...

5% rebate is nice, but the base ... This is the curse of the % function :-/

The description says that the unit passes the keyboard test and self test. The HP-41 series, AFAIK, had no such tests built in. Do you suppose he's referring to use of a service module ROM? I've never come across one of those in 28 years of owning a HP-41.

Best thing would be to ask him directly;-)

But why do you think he doesn't have a service module?

I admit the original modules are relatively rare,

but even I had a few original service modules in my hands,

and a friend of mine has a collection of HP-41 service modules.

Apart from that, every HP-41 fan can build his own service module,

by using one of the HP-41 Service ROM images from TOS,

and transfering it into his/her Clonix41, NoVRAM, MLDL2000, MBK ProfiSET, CMT EPROM module,

or maybe even Zengrange ZEPROM, the latter of which he/she could have bought from Hudenai btw;-)

After all, it seems to be far easier to talk *about* somebody than to talk *with* somebody, at least for dogs d8)

Ahh, Walter: There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about (Wilde, I think).

Best,
