HP 48GX and 48SX and 48G and 48S and 48G+

If I buy a 48GX with an earlier rom than R, will the difference ever ever ever likely enter into my daily life? Same question for earlier 48SX rom than later.

I am not an entomologist or physicist.

I am just wondering if anyone here ever had a screwed up calculation that they actually needed for school or work because of a rom issue on the GX or SX. Not some calculation designed just to push the calculator capability for kicks.

I think all the ROM differences can be found in the HP48 FAQ (I don't know if it's still being maintained since the HP48 series is no longer in production). At any rate, there are a few ROM bugs that may affect calculations and/or cause memory crashes. However, I vaguely remember them bein fairly obscure, except for the bug with respect to fast fourier transforms. The rest have to do with expansion ports.
