Zero feedback eBay bidders

#4

I've recently bought and also sold a HP calculator on eBay and in both cases I've had new zero feedback people driving the price up at the last minute.
I know this happens all the time on eBay for various reasons, but it seems extra prevalent with HP calculators.
In the case of the unit I sold, two of the top phantom bidders did not respond, leaving me without a sale.

Is there some person or persons out there with an agenda to artificially inflate the prices of HP calculators?

I guess I don't mind too much about the buying part, as I stick to my upper limit, but for selling it is pretty annoying. Perhaps I should instigate my own policy of deleting any bids from zero feedbackers, or <5 feedback maybe?

Someone with that intention would place his bid early, not within the last minute. This is due to people orientate themselfs often by other bids, not their own idea of a certain products price. Place your bid just before the timeout and you take them their chance to increase their offer. Please your bid early and enjoy watching other participants increasing their offer step by step. Stupidity is what makes ebays success.
