Hello!
Recently, I found a very nice HP-71B, but it dosen't like to power-up on batteries. Before I look inside (the operation will have to wait until I buy a new Torx T6 screwdriver anyway, the old one is too badly worn) I would like to try if the calculator works with external power.
And here is my question: Can I safely operate the 71B with the AC-
adapter of an HP-41 or one for the accessories of the 41 (printer, tape drive)? I have some of those, but not the original 71B adapter...
And while I am at it: Is there a resetting-procedure for the 71B other than the "On"-and-"/"-Keys-together from the manual which might cure the problem without any furter action?
Greetings, Max
NB: Looking forward to see this thing working in view of the coming "short&sweet math challenges" :-)
