carrymore often has some incredible "brand new, factory boxed, never used products discovered after being hidden away for many years" like this one. As being potentially interested by what he offers I would like to know what his reputation is. Thank you for your input. Best regards, Patrick ▼

99.9% positive feedback. No, I haven't dealt with him, but 5000+ others have. I certainly wouldn't worry to much about him from an ebay purchase stand point. Now, whether you can purchase a great calculator at a bargain basement price is doubtful, especially after you have advertised his product here. Of course you could be the shrewd seller, feigning interest 8op

Easy. Classic slipcases are worn out, tattered and frayed.

IMO, the original Voyager cases were not that glossy and smooth. It is easy to tell if you can lay eyes/hands on it. Original cases were much thicker with a lining, cases used in recent years are much thinner with no lining and they typically have bad stitching on the radius of the corners.

Yes, I spotted the wear on the foot pads too and this is the major reason for my request. Two days ago, someone bought a similar HP 11C from carrymore for the incredible price of 638 $. Incidentally, it was one of my fellow countrymen, a frenchman. On week ago, carrymore sold an other similar one for 377 $. Perhaps he has a personal factory of HP 11C in his garage ;o). Patrick ▼

Yes, I agree with all of you. The slip cases I have seen are certainly not original. The original has a very distinct surface pattern, or grain to be exact, much like a genuine piece of leather. Regarding price, .... I purchased on eBay a really lovely 11C last week for $172.50. I think that the trick is to be patient and at around the price I paid, you should be able to pick up a beauty.
