Does anyone know where I can get an hp28 rom image? I e-mailed HP asking them, but they said they didn't have a copy of it and that I should try this site.

Nice joke,

only HP itself can distribute there ROM images without copyright violation.

These's a posting at http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv014.cgi?read=50027 how they can be extracted from a real calculator.

But if HP told him to try this site, wouldn't that amount to permission? Or would it have to be in writing?

That was probably just a CSR trying to end a phone call about something he was never trained to talk about.
