HP41 Was faulty, Now fixed, Thanks

#2

I recently posted a message to this forum requesting help diagnosing a failing 41CV. Your replies quickly led me to the cause, which was the lack of clamping pressure on the 'transfer connector' sandwiched between the boards because the plastic posts had split.

My method of repair was to replace the 'self tapping' screws with nuts and bolts, I know it sounds crude! but the head on an M2 countersunk is not very big and anyway is not visible under my keypad 'template'. The nuts of coarse are hidden under the feet.

If anyone is interested I would be glad to give some further guidance on the technique I used to drill and countersink the holes.
