I am the Fiorina poster.
I was just kidding about that which I wrote about her.
Terrible HP leader & that college degree in Medieval Studies did not help much.

Do you fear we didn't get it? ;-) ▼

Marcus: I am quite certain most readers did not get the joke. ▼

What, you didn't think an HP51CF was a good idea? Or was it a 52...? Cheers, -Marwan

Well, your first post left me wondering if you were married to her or related or something, but "her de facto invention, development, launch, and advancement of the HP48GX and its peripherals and plug-ins" was a bit of a giveaway ;-)

I'll have to admit that you got me. Well done. p.s. possibly relevant

John, do you have to resolve every joke on your side of the Atlantic? To ensure even the mentally challenged get it? Oh Carly ;-) ▼
05-09-2012, 05:17 PM
Yes, the German guys rarely get a good joke. I resolve them for their benefit. ▼
05-09-2012, 05:34 PM
;-) Well, compare the posts in your earlier thread about Carly. Seems we get your kind of jokes in your language better than you get our jokes in our language at least ;-) ▼

Quote: Hey! One of my degrees is in music. I focussed more on academics than performance (I really am a pedestrian musician), specifically Baroque, Renaissance, and Mediaeval repertoire. I especially enjoyed the latter. All quite enjoyable and edifying. It scarcely qualifies me to lead a huge tech corporation, I'll admit. But I have to say that, notwithstanding that most of my specifically career-oriented education has been in scientific disciplines, I do get my shorts in a twist when anyone in maths, sciences, or professions disparages the arts or humanities as less worthy of scholarly attention. I remember in early medical school the biochemistry professor telling us that memorizing the Krebs cycle may never be directly relevant to daily medical practice for almost all physicians, but the process of learning something complicated properly and in depth was a worthy mental exercise and a lesson in life. Funnily enough, this is exactly how I feel about the hours I spent in getting a basic reading knowledge of mediaeval Occitan or analyzing the structure of Machaut's motets. Even funnier, I have long forgotten my Krebs cycle, but never Machaut. Les ▼

Quote: Hi John, now you regret your original position. Good. And Thanks a lot for admitting. (Mind Poe's Law) Sorry for believing you first. I met many Americans during that time who believed that Fiorina was the greatest CEO ever.
Best regards,
