Doest this calculator have the original LR44 1.5V batteries or the CR' Lithium one's?

No. Should be the same as the 12C+ -- 2 x CR2032 in parallel (3V).

Correct. And I can state that the original set of batteries are still powering my 15C+, which is currently my most-used RPN scientific calc.
