OT ->Tim Wessman: TI-Nspire current draw

#2

Hi Tim,

It is already a week since I promised you to measure the current of the TI-Nspire. With my mother in Germany, my wife in North Carolina and me in Up-state New York it was a nice Sunday morning to solder a current probe ;-))

Please remember that the Nspire uses 4 1.5V batteries:

Calculator off: 0.4 mA

Booting: 30...35 mA

"Idle" 7...10 mA

"Redrawing" 15...25 mA

"Heavy typing" 15...30 mA

"Typical use" 10...20 mA

Hope this helps.

Have a great Sunday and treat your wife accordingly!

Regards,
Joerg
