200lx question

My daily use calculator at the office was, until a week ago a 100lx. Unfortunately, the right hinge broke clean through, and I have been forced to press my 200lx into daily service. Some time in the far distant past, I found a trick to render the 200lx Appointment Book app quiet, so that it doesn't startup the first time it is switched on each day. Does anybody know the trick? I can't find it in the manual or online, but I'm sure I used it for years without the AB app starting.

Any ideas for the 100lx will be considered.
