HP 50g First Impressions (from me)
#1

First, the 50g was not avaiable in retail stores (in fact, only Fry's carries them in Los Angeles), but was available in major universities. I got it at UCLA yesterday.

Keyboard, very close to the 48 series. The 49g+ keys, especially in the early production, were hard to push. The 2005 production was better. Thankfully, the 50g's keys won't have these early problems.

I like the contrast of the 50g keyboard (black with orange/gold/white type; the 48SX had sky blue instead of white).

I will not comment on the RS232, because I usually use only the USB cable or the SD card to transfer things between the 49g+/50g and the computer.
