Win a Free Ruggedized HP50G data collector
#1

I am sorry if this announcment bothers anyone, but you all have a great opportunity to win something that may be of interest. I will be moving house across the country until monday of next week, and wanted to once more publish this info for anyone who may have missed it earlier. If you don't have intereset, perhaps you can think of someone that might. Let them know!

Precision Surveying Solutions (http://www.pssllc.com) is on track to release the DC50 shortly. The DC50 is a tool for professional land surveyors and civil engineers. It is based on the new HP 50G graphing calculator. The DC50 consists of an HP 50G graphing calculator enclosed in a rugged environmental case. The calculator communicates with a communication circuit board inside the case which allows Bluetooth communication with two different devices. In addition an external serial port allows the connection to a third device with a cable.

One of the final steps has been the completion of the manual. We haven't wanted to publish the working manual for review by interested customers since it was not complete enough to fully represent the capabilities offered by our product.

Precision is very grateful for the support we have received from surveyors in our endeavor. We have literally been contacted by hundreds upon hundreds of professional surveyors worldwide since this project started over three years ago.

Many have expressed interest in helping us get this product out the door as soon as possible. To that end, we have decided to have a manual editing contest. Interested users may download our working manual, read it to learn more about the capabilities of our data collector, offer suggestions for improvement, and return it to us. Once we receive your edits, your name will be put into a drawing.

Or look in our forum for more info. (http://www.pssllc.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51)

Please remember all types of editing is welcome. We do not just need proofreading, but also input on the readability and thoroughness of the sections. If you don't understand it, please let us know! If you think that it is too long, or too short, or anything like that, please feel free to tear it apart.

While I do hope a surveyor will win the free unit, this contest is open to everyone. Feel free to enter. You'll probably never have a drawing with better odds in your life! =)

So there are several ways to get your edits in to us.

1. If you are one of those people that like reading documents on paper, you can mail it back to us. Contact john at pssllc.com for more info.

2. Edit files on the computer and send it back to us.

3. Type a list of changes and email it to timwessman@yahoo.com or timwessman@gmail.com

We will hold a random drawing at the end of the contest to select the individual that will receive a complete DC50 data collector package. The second lucky winner will receive a complete software package, or its equivalent value towards the full DC50 data collector.

Entries must be received electronically or postmarked by August 14, 2006 and the winners will be announced August 19, 2006.

Thanks for all your support!

This contest is invalid those places where it may be illegal. All decisions are final.
