HP-49G HELP! Screen goes dark when turned on

As the subject says "my screen goes dark when I turn it on" and nothing ever appear on it, I can access the no-system menu and everything seems ok but I can´t make it work, so I need your help guys, how can this be repaired? any idea? THANKS

Hi, Edgard;

although it seems not to be the problem, you could try:

1) hard-reset the calculator with a clip in the RESET small hole in the back of the calculator;

2) adjust the contrast with [ON] and [-] (possibly not if the no-system menu appears fine).

Let us know if anything happend.
