Ipaq problems
#1

I have broadband with a wireless Ipaq. Since Comcast did a major upgrade, I cannot access my e-mail. The message I get says I need a browser upgrade but I've got the latest IE version available. Comcast says they can't help me because they really don't support routers. My desktop e-mail works fine. Has anyone else with a mobile unit had this problem? If so, can you shed any light?

I have done both a hard and soft reset and reoriented my router. I suspect its some kind of connection problem but I don't have a clue.

Thanks.

First: this is a museum forum so we do not usually deal with live beings, etc. etc. :-)

Given this if all you need is fooling the server into thinking that you use a more recent version of Pocket IE try this: http://www.cewindows.net/applications/regking2003.htm
and apply the patch that says:

Quote:
Makes Pocket IE pretend to be IE 6.0 - Should allow you to access secure websites like banking or brokerage houses. Right now most sites just check the browser's version and if it is less than 4.02 it does not allow you access. PIE by default reports IE 4.01 so you won't get access.

Thanks, Massimo. I have RegKing IE 6.0. That's how I'm able to surf the WEB. I still can't access my e-mail because that has to go through Comcast. My problem must be a connection within my Ipaq.
