HP11C ghosting of digits
#1

My HP11C is showing ghosting of the digits when viewed from an angle ie 2 looks like 6 and 5 looks like 9. Is this a common problem and is there a cure? (serial no 2208A03826)

It's a bad LCD. Will require replacement from a similar date code machine. You're lucky in that it is an early two board model which means you will not need to remove the keyboard for access. The logic module/LCD are seperate and can be removed without cutting plastic rivets.
