my 32s "creaks." Is this common?
#1

I have a 32s that is in mint condition, except that it is kind of creaky, noticeable when I take it out of its vinyl case. It's also noticeable if you hold the calculator at each end and lightly twist. My 32sii feels much more rigid. Was there a problem with the body of the 32s that was later fixed when the 32sii came along?? Maybe this isn't a problem at all. The serial number is 3028Sxxxxxx.

I don't think it's a problem with the model, but with the pioneers in general. I have a 17BII from 1995 that does the same thing...functions just fine.

My HP-32S creaks only when I press below the LCD.
