Classic calculator´s repair
#1

Hi everybody:

I have several classics with the tipical wear in the silver paint near the on/off switch. Which is the best option to repair it? new silver or aluminium paint?.

Thanks in advance

Jon

Most people use the Testors silver paint marker pen available at hobby shops. I have also found that if you are careful, the marker pen paint can be removed with white gas (camping fuel) without removing the original paint.

Should have mentioned that the silver on the HP65 and HP67 is vacuum deposited (not paint). You can't touch it up and have it look good.
