Saw that he's advertising being able to burn us custom 16k modules for the 41c.
So, what could we put in one?
Ext IL module (SKWID)? 4K
CCD? 4k? (or is this 8k)?
1 user code module
Zenrom? 4k?
What would you put together? Are there limitations? Wonder what he will charge?

I would say, that this is one of the most popular mixture... Perhaps a PPC instead of the CCD? If you have a look at ebay, the prices of PPC modules increases more and more... I would say, CCD is not a very rare module, so keep these 8k free for modules that are rarer... BareCode Generation (SKWID), ASTROROM, AECROM,..
Or what would you say top a Zeprom full of test and diagnostic modules? Would be very helpfull as well...

I just got a ZEPROM from Christopg containing the following modules: CCD 8k / EXT IL 4k / EXT IO 4k
As I'm mostly interested in HPIL controlling this is the most powerful combination.I'm amazed at the power you can put in just one slot. Two slots are occupied by XMEMORY. The fourth port contains either HPIL or IR Module.

Dear Gene,
personally I prefer the CCD (8KByte) + EXT-I/O (4KByte) + EXT-IL (4KByte), because I am Fan of HP-IL. And this configuration works nice in combination with EMU41 and HP-IL/PC Interface Card.
Alternatively I use a 4KByte software page with special routines for hardware interfacing measurement data logging control applications with I/O-Board and IL2000 System.

For getting maximally power to your HP41, insert a Double X-Memory Moduel (port2) beside the Zeprom (port 1). Than port 3 is free and port 4 holds the IL-Module

Which Christoph? Where did you read his advertisement? Seems that I missed something very interesting here ...

From the "Classified Ads" section:

Create your own HP41 plug in module (SO)
By completing some special parts and tools, now I am able to support you with burning 16 KByte Zeprom-Modules...

Well, here are the ROMS I would want to put into a 16K HP-41 module...I'd want 2. :-)
Module 1 - CCD (debugged one hopefully) 8k; PPC rom (quite right about needing a back up of this one) 8k
Module 2 - Ext IL (primarily for MCPRP and full 1MB HP-IL disk drive access) 4K; SKWID Bar Code printing ROM 8k (is that right?); Ext IO 4k (or is that 8k too?)
My fear is that this would cost an arm and a leg. :-(
I also don't agree that the CCD is all that easy to find!

Hi Gene,
what do you mean with 'debugged CCD'? Could it be the 'B' revision? (I consider my private version as rev C. I'll post the FAT in another thread the next few days)
The ExtIL has 4K.

Maybe Christoph gives kinda 'mass discount';-)
And yes, the CCD module is relatively rare.
A few thousand units were made, many of them went to club members. Maybe for people who have more than one of these modules they aren't that rare;-)

Hi! Yes, I meant the non-Version A without the deadly space in alpha bug. Having a version C available that could be burned on a ROM would be a great benefit to the community!
