#1

No don't be discourage, i don't need to repair my 41 card reader ;-). Just a question.

Is is normal that if i put a brand new card in my reader and try to read this blank card that i get MEMORY LOST everytime i mistake a card for a empty one?

Merci

No. You should never get MEMORY LOST errors
spontaneously.

michel,
possible cause are worn or dirty battery contacts. try this: open the battery compartment, remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts in the calculator with a cotton swab dipped in pure alcohol (isopropanol for example. DO NOT use anythind else than alcohol). take another swab to dry them. also, clean the contacts of the batteries themselves.

cheers,
hans
