I remember reading once about someone who used a few of the pins in the card reader port to transfer files with a PC through the serial port. This seems like an excellent way to get 71b's interfaced for the masses (since hpil/isa cards and 9114's are so rare).

When you eventually obtain a 71b, we can look into this more if you're interested.
