Another HP 35 Red Dot on eBay
#1

I was perusing eBay and found a listing for an HP 35 Red Dot, auction number 301008662547. I found some interesting anomalies on this item, which may be why there are no bids so far with less than a day remaining in the auction. It's been a while since a Red Dot has been for sale and a lot of them have been questionable as to authenticity.

It seems fishy to me. It is definitely not 100% original. How would the red wear off anyways?

Well, clearly there are many parts that are not Version 1. It was probably cobbled up with a buggy Version 2 and perhaps parts from later versions. If it had been returned to the HP factory for repair, then the buggy ROM would have been replaced. The only thing that puzzles me is the serial number inside the battery compartment, which is low enough to be from the Red Dot era.

Is it the one on the listing just ending within 18 minutes?
I see clearly the hole but no any red dot
The first time I saw it I thought that maybe a good drill job was performed, maybe I was wrong but I see that there are still doubts about it......altough the serial maybe is matching the time

Wow, that looks, I should sell some of my RedDots now.... The price was not bad.

I think I'll "make some" like this one....
