To get a .hppgrm onto my Prime, I find I have to
- Drop the .hpprgm file into the "<Me>\Application Data\HP Prime" folder.
- Fire up the emulator.
- Fire up the Connectivity Kit.
- Connect the calculator
- In the CK, open the emulator's copy of the program and copy its text.
- Also in the CK, create a new program on the calculator and open it.
- Paste the program text over the default program text and close the editor.
- Click "yes" when it asks if you want to save the program.
This procedure is overly complicated and crucial parts are undocumented. I really, really hope I'm missing something.

Put the hpprgrm in the <your documents>\HP Connectivity Kit\Calculators\MyCalc folder. Then it shows up in the "content" pane and you can right click on the program to send it directly.
Drag/drop is not functional yet unfortunately which would allow you to easily move things around in the interface.

Thanks for your quick and helpful reply, Tim. I was missing the correct target folder and the right click->send to class option. Can you tell me where these are documented? If the procedure isn't documented end-to-end, that would be nice to have. Also, I find I have to restart the CK in order to have the program show up in the Content tab.

Anyone got the connectivity working under Linux?

I had no problem installing the Connectivity kit and the emulator under Wine (on Ubuntu 12.04). The Connectivity kit and emulator work together as expected, but the connectivity kit did not see my actual physical calculator when I plugged it into my Linux laptop so I've had to dual-boot into Windows to get the Connectivity kit to work with my physical calculator.

And so I need to fix that as I don't have any dual boot possibility.

I believe it is the connectivity kit user guide that is in the install directory, but has no direct link in the UI due to not having the document fully translated at the time that installer was prepared (similar to the current situation with the emulator).

I'm having trouble to send something from my Prime to the emulator or connectivity kit. Copying (cloning) the complete calculator in the Connectivity Kit just forces the emulator to reset (with full amnesia). The 39gII and its emulated twin talk easily to each other via USB but this feature seems to be missing on the prime and its emulator.
What are the steps to copy an App from my Prime to the PC (either emulator or connectivity kit)?

I've had success with creating a backup zip file from the device and extracting the applet files from the archive. The file could then be broadcast to the emulator.

You can also put the .hpprgm in the folder C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\HP_Prime to get it on the emulator. Then its easier to copy and paste the code in a new program or just click on "Send" in the program editor on the emulator with calc connected.
A new version of the connectivity kit will be released with drag and drop.

This works great. The programs shows up in the program list in the emulator and can be edited if needs be. Where do I put them so it shows up in the connectivity kit. It is not in the contents as far as I can tell.
Do I change the working directory in the options menu?
