wp34s calc to calc communication

I want to try wire a barrel 2.5 mm connector to tx, rx and ground of a wp34s and then use crossover cable (casio calcs uses 2.5mm crossover cable for their calc communications, so I do not need to make a cable, i can use that one) to try to communicate with SENDP/RECV or the likes.

Will that approach work? Did somebody already try that?

The communication commands in WP 34S are designed for direct communication. Good luck!
