HP-49G I/O Port repair
#1

Is there anyone who has experience with repairing the I/O or RS232 port on the HP-49G? I cannot get the calculator to pass the RS232 test or transfer any data to or from the calc. Would you entertain fixing this one?
Please let me know.

Hi;

there is an external solution - a small hardware assy - for these cases. If I am not wrong, there is a series of 49G with different electrical port characteristics; maybe yours is one of them. As soon as I find the schematics for the external hardware I'm sending for you, right?

Cheers.

Please contact ASAP A friend of mine, Vincent (castvi@aol.com). He has a good experience in disassembling/interfacing HP-49G.
