hp48gx help
#1

Yesterday, I did something dumb. I spilled soda all over my calculator. Everything works fine, execpt that the keys are now sticky. How can I take the top part off, so I can clean the keyboard.
Thanks

I wouldn't suggest trying to take your 48 apart.

First, I would try using electrical contact cleaner (it comes in an aerosol can and evaporates very quickly).

Hold the 48 so the screen is above the keyboard (so the contact cleaner won't drip on to the screen) and spray down the keyboard. This shouldn't damage the calculator and may help to rinse away the soda. Be aware, however, that I've never tried this myself on a 48. I have cleaned the keyboard of an hp80 business calculator in this manner with excellent results.
