What a bargain!

At the Azusa (CA) Swap Meet, I bought a HP 28C for$3. The batteries is going tocost me more. The vendor had a HP 48GX for sale too.

Update: Could not resist, it was only $5 and the one ai have at home has dog chewing on it.

About a month or so ago I picked up an HP-48GX at a local flea market for 25 dollars....box, books, warranty cart, pc cord...whole thing looked mint except for the box, and someone printed a name o the cloth case. Good things happen to good people, no?

On Ebay a few months ago, I bought 8 HP48G's in mint ondition. The only flaw was the back case was etched a name. The buttons were crisp and the rubber feet look like they never touched a surface. The calcs even had that distinctive "HP" smell. The owner said they were being sold for parts for $50. He said they weren't working. Apparently he didnt know how to operate the calculators. Anyway, his loss was my gain.

Thanks guys! Now does anyone know how to open the battery door on this thing?

Edit: Got it. Have the calculator closed and push the door out with a penny.

No wonder these did not sell well - the battery door was a struggle. LOL

Update: Turns out purchasing the 48GX was a great buy too - mine was only a 48G.
