I no longer feel bad...

...about all the money I spent on calculators last year. Especially my two HP-9100Bs...

Seriously overpriced, beat up, untested 9100

I'm glad you no longer feel bad. It's only overpriced (or undermarketed) if no one buys it.

If someone buys that, then I am going to run right out to buy a 1959 Gibson Les Paul...

I'll join you! Just today, yes, today mind you. I bought full packages of an HP-67, 41CV, 29C and HP-35 (yes, no bloody A, B, C or S) PLUS extra battery packs, too!

Ah, you sound like I did last year. After years of not buying any calculators (I had all the HP scientific handhelds, which was the focus of my collection), in 2011 I decided to go for desktops. Mind you, I already had a 9815S and 9825A...

-- Two T.I. SR-60s (one working, one parts)

-- Two HP 9810s (ditto)

-- HP Atherton-restored 9820

-- HP 9826

-- HP 9830 w/9866A thermal printer

-- HP 9835

-- HP 85

-- HP 87

-- HP 9821 dual 3.5" drive

-- HP 9825 NOS 5.25" drive

-- HP 9875 dual cassette drive

-- Two Atherton-restored 9100Bs

Had to promise the wife I wouldn't buy a single calculator in 2012! So far I'm good...

Thanks to God, better, thanks to our wives we still survive!

I think this was previously owned (or "pre-loved" in TAS-speak) by a psychiatrist. Why else would it have a Rorschach test on the front? ;-)

There are two shrinks that use use old RPN calculators?
I know that our Dr. Mike wouldn't sell off any of his babies. He would know what is wrong with it and have found a way to fix it too.

#11

Well, we can consider that a "prototype" or something, I'm sure!

My wife is ok with my hobby collecting old calculators, it's collecting new girlfriends that she won't tolerate :-)
