I download an network node manager 6.31 for solaris 8 evaluatoion software to study, but I installed it on solaris 9(Sunos Solaris1 5.9 Beta_Refresh), and the memory is only 256M. After installed, it can't start SNMP MIB-2 subagent sucsessfully and the exit code is 139, and this make netmon can't start successfully. I don't know which cause this problem. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

 Find an atomic vector plotter. Hook it up to the logic circuits of a Bambowinni Sub-Meson brain. Immerse it all into a strong brownian motion producer (a nice cup of really hot tea will suffice). Enter parameters. Read some Vogon poetry while you wait.

It sounds like you should probably look into finding a support site for OpenView/SNMP. This site, in case you were confused by Fred and Gene's droll wit :^), is pretty much devoted to older HP calculators, not their line of network monitoring software. Unless, of course, you manage to figure out a way to port net-snmp to MetaKernel. I'm sure many of us would be interesting in that... ;^)

Funniest man who lived in the last 50 years, IMO. I still break out laughing when I hear the audio versions of any of his books. Terrible loss, dying at such an early age. :-( Gene

I'm not sure if he's the funniest, but he certainly makes my short list. I heard a rumor that the original BBC Radio version of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is available on CD, but I'm still trying to locate a copy. I understand that he's got a new book coming out. The Salmon of Doubt: Hitchhiking the Galaxy One Last Time is supposed to have been reconstructed from manuscript fragments and notes discovered on his various computers after his death.
