Average close: $220 Sometimes I am positively amazed by humans. Oh, and I didn't touch an HP for this. I used a spreadsheet on an IBM :-)

I'm conflicted about this. On the one hand it's amazing to see so many folks getting, not to put too fine a point on it, [screwed, not only by the sellers, but through getting potentially defective units. On the other it's nice to see a revived 15C selling so well. It may mean HP will actually spend the dough to implement in a reasonable way the fixes Cyrille and Tim come up with. Of course, in my dreams, brisk sales could even lead to a not limited edition 15C, or even consideration of the idea to designing new calcs along the lines of the "42S plus II glory hallelujah." Like I said: *sigh*. :)

There's no doubt in my mind that this hobby is at least 2/3 religion, and that last decimal digit better be a seven. :)

Have you been tracking prices for a while, Bill?

Seems there are better investments ;-)

Bill, Great work. Funny to know that the one from the Datamath Calculator Museum sold for the highest price so far ;-)) I guess I should focus more on Hewlett Packard stuff instead TI's.

Yes, you should!

Gene, I would have to sell my TI-88 first - a nice HP collection needs some start-up money ;-))

I believe you said you'd sell the TI-88 for $2500.01, right?
10-03-2011, 09:17 PM
I remember that you wanted to trade it for your supercharged, custom-painted Saleen Mustang ;-))

Really? I don't remember ever saying that. Besides, as a sophisticated European person used to sophisticated cars, I don't think you'd like it. It's pretty, but quite crude. Kind of like the SR-60. :-)

I discovered that there is a pretty energetic 1960s Mustang collector fan base in Holland. Meanwhile in the U.S. we like better cars, such as Porche.... |
