wp34S Flag Table via STATUS
#1

Hi Guys,

I was playing with the wp34S STATUS command the other day to look at flag status and noticed something. In the 34S, presses of down arrow when at the end of the flag list (and up arrow when at the beginning) act as a NOP. On the 50g, when the system flag table is displayed (via MODE > FLAGS), when the end of the list as flag 128 is reached, a further press of the down-arrow key conveniently returns the list back to the beginning. Likewise, when at the top of the list, pressing up-arrow rolls around to the end of the list. This seems to be a nice feature. Would there be any way this could be adopted for the 34S?

Thanks,
Jake

Anything can be done. If Pauli does it and Walter approves it. :-)

Your suggestion sounds very reasonable and I don't think it's too much work to implement so your chances are high.

I'm working on I/O routines for the next release so that data and programs may be exchanged via a link cable between devices or device and (emulator running on) PC. Stay tuned!

:-) In this very case it was the other way round: I had the cyclic flag browsing in the documentation already some months ago - but then it turned out it wasn't implemented. So Pauli must say if it's possible within the limits set - and he will tell you tomorrow at earliest. TIA for your patience.

Not only possible but very easy & now done.
Nobody told me the cyclic behaviour was wanted until now :-(

In case people didn't know or have forgotten, the digit keys allow fast steps in this browser too. If you know the flag number you want, just press its first digit.
