hp 85 tape drive

Aquired a HP 85b from a junk shop but have no manual does any one know the correct syntax for using the tape drive. commands like STORE "test" or SAVE "test" produce activity from the drive but end in an SEARCH error. Many thanks Zenon Zalewski
