HP-97 keyboard sudden failure
#1

Hi:
The numeric/arithmetic keys (i.e. the right part of the keyboard) have suddenly stopped working on my HP-97. I opened the case and separated then reseated the gold finger contacts between the keyboard and the logic board, hoping to get lucky, but alas...
Appears similar to this problem.

Anyone seen this before or have any pointers? It's pretty difficult to trouble shoot this due to all the disassembly/reassembly required, so I'm hoping for something to narrow down the problem.

No easy explanation for the failure. Worked last month when I balanced my checkbook, took it off the shelf and turned it on this month and no numeric keys. No drops, spills, etc.

Regards,
Bob
