Hi All,
I was gone on vacation where I had very limited Internet access. I returned home last night. Today I visited the HP web site to buy the new HP-30B. I was surprised that the web site did not list that machine!! Did I do something wrong?
i appreciate any and all help.

Thanks Don! I see it too ... but when I click on buying online I get a page that says that the intended page is not available.

Yeah, this happened once before, as I recall. HP must get their web weenies from Jimmy-Bob's Web Service. I'd call the 800 number, I think you only get free shipping by dialing that number.

VERY common. Their web site is a piece of junk on the store side. I've gotten that countless times. Just keep trying...

HP is such a ginormous company, I imagine their web megalopolis (can't really call it a 'site') is being organized and maintained by bots. Humans probably don't go near it! Since the bot algorithms are unsupervised and self-learning they often get it wrong, but sometimes get it right. If you swing by at just the right time, in between garbage collection and a new release of marketing bots from the nursery, you might actually find something you want..
..or not. I'd try Office Max.

Tim, this is the sort of complaint that you can push up the management chain and really get results. If you tell management "someone is TRYING to give HP money and the website won't let them" then you'll get results. :)

I tried the toll free number and the telemarketer was able to find the calculator (after I found and gave him the part number) but was unable to sell it!! I told him I will call in a few weeks!

Tim, what's going on with this? Announced in January, available in March, unavailable in April? Who's running the show there?

I just checked the Dynatech website: I'll have to wait until May.

That is sad. HP is doing exactly the opposite of what they should be doing: selling the 30b on site and start touring the office stores with it.
