Profanity free iPhone calculator application

Remember entering a number on an old 7-segment machine and turning it upside down to reveal a word? Remember that some words were mildly rude? Well, now your children can be protected.

I think that’s a wise decision. The App store reviewers always stand on their head, if you somehow forgot to remove the “calculator words” they would probably find out and reject your app because it contains swear words! ;-)

Why would you do such a thing? Disgusting. I will never ever buy an app from you.

Apparently some here are satire-impaired.

If you search on iTunes for a calculator called "Calc Zero" you'll find that it has a rating of:

Rated 12+ for the following:
Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity

I thought this was too funny that a calculator would be rated NC-17, so I mailed the developer about how this happened. Apparently some of his resource file names has the word boobs in them.. Apple review must have some kind of filter they perform on the submissions :)

Crazy, simply crazy - or even mad already.

Good morning!

Indeed. More and more, I get convinced that I would rather live in that parallel universe, in which Russia has won the cold war and we are spared from that kind of nonsense ;-) Even if that means that I have to collect Elektronika calculators instead of HP ones!

Greetings, Max

From the first line:

How innocent are the minds that want to make (or even understand) "those words" in the first place?

'salright. I can read upside down.

It may have had a SIN function, a blue square key, and other subtle traces of improper content. Physical calculators were even worse, they used to have female connectors which may be near male plugs, and these obtained their power from transformers!

They say they "think they know their audience." I suppose they assume that audience will read the entire posting. :)
