Hi, i just receive a HP-3468A multimeter and i have a surprise to discover that there is a HP-IL interface on the back. Can i connect my HP-41 or 75C on it and what will they talk about?
Also, where can i find a manual for this multimeter? I search on HP site but no trace of multimeter.
Does HP still manufacture multimeter and oscilloscope; i can't see anything else than computer on their site. Is there another site for "industrial" products that HP still produce?
Thanks
Michel

yes, indeed you can and it is indeed a very fun thing to do. As usually with all IL related things, having the XIO helps.
Manuals can be found here (first couple hits) including the service manual etc.
There also is a Osci with HP-IL and frequency counter with HP-IL. I have both but have not used the HP-41 to interface with them yet. They are a bit more expensive as well, but you can get them. Manuals can be found here (for the osci, can't find the frequency counter right now)
Next to MCODE, I find the HP-IL world the most fascinating subject of the HP-41 toys. Especially as this is anno 1985...
Cheers
Peter

HP split, and now what used to be the instrumentation portion of the company is called Agilent. Virtually all the instrumentation they have with HPIB (IEEE-488) can be interfaced to an HP-41 if you have the HP82169A HPIL-to-HPIB interface converter.

Dear Michel,
my new 708 page book "HP-41 Input / Output Board & IL2000 Interface System" includes a special chapter describing Hp41 control software for HP41 and HP3468A IL-Multimeter...
