35's screen format
#1

Does anybody knows how to flip the numbers atthe screen so they will appear at the right-side of it? It is annoying to see numbers from the left side.. decimal and thouand points will not be align.

thanks!

I just bought a 35s. I have a 50g but i did not like it, so I will be selling it. I have owned a 48SX, a 41 CV, and a 34C..

Looking for that kind of quality in the new models had me searching. I do not need powrful programming capabilities anymore. just good keystrokes, keys layout and look and feel..!

regards

The format is controllable only as the manual describes. Note that the RPN format handles the format differently from the ALG format.

So the 41CV and 34C were annoying? :^)

They were only one line.. The annoying thing is to see both lines align at the left. . So if anyone knows how to change it to the other side. I will really appreciate it..!

thank you for allowing me to explain my statement..!

For sure, HP calculators are very annoying machines, you should rather buy a TI...

At first I considered a flippant response, such as, "What do you think it is, an adding machine?"

However, with a two-line display, the request is not entirely unreasonable.

I've always preferred HP's left-justified display of numbers, because the digits don't shift as the number is entered. I also tend to use a monospace font for numbers entered in a spreadsheet, to facilitate comparison by mental addition or subtraction as the data are aligned by decimal point.

On an RPN calculator, though, the two displayed values are generally operands to one of many two-input functions besides addition or subtraction. So, alignment of decimal points is unimportant, but can be convienient at times.
