Hi,
I received my first issue of Datafile and I am delighted. It is, of couse, the HP 35s special issue that is worth the subscription by itself. Great reading, specially from Gene's articles. I think this has been the best moment to join the club!
Regards,
Miguel

Hi Miguel
Glad you received the Datafile safely - the UK is beset by rolling mail strikes at present.
It certainly was a fine issue and definately one to keep!
There is more 35S goodness in this months issue.
Best Wishes
Dave (HPCC Secretary)

How does that magazine look (format, number of pages, quality)? Do you have pictures of it?

It's a real pity to not sell the datafile isolated from a club membership.

Hi Namir - welcome! What took you so long? :-)
Print media seem to be outdated, but getting a printed magazine to read in free moments, to scribble notes on, to store on a shelf, can be wonderful. In answer to another question - the journal is A5 sized, that's like a US Letter sheet of paper folded in half. About 40 pages like that per issue, if you include the cover.

I don't speak for HPCC, nor know the details of their accounting. However, based on other experiences with community endeavors, it seems quite likely to me that if a Datafile subscription was made available without a membership, it would cost very nearly the same price as it does bundled with membership.

Thank you for your answer, Eric. Yes, I understand and agree to your point. In my case, it's just about getting my hands on the current issue, or maybe some interestig ones in the future. Unfortunately, money matters to me ;-).
