Congratulations on this very impressive collection. I'm curious to follow how your homepage will build up. Very nice hardware from good old quality days of HP. Reminds me of my days as an electronics engineer which couldn't have enough measurement equipment on the lab table.

Re: This collector needs lots of space - sets a good/bad example! - Dave Shaffer (Arizona) - 08-23-2006

I should keep a few of these pictures handy - to show my wife when she thinks I have too much "stuff" in the garage!

Ditto! - Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) - 08-23-2006

Althought I'm divorced and have no wife to complaint, many people think that having so many calculators as I have is hard to understand and even accept. This would be a good chance to show something else...

About these equipments. Some good standarts (reference parameter/signal) might be handy...

Cheers.

Luiz…

Another good reason to collect HP calculators: they take up a lot less space.

Fred, if you really want to save space, collect bugs! No, real ones d;-)

Re: Ditto! - bill platt - 08-25-2006

Being that there are a bunch of ham radio operators and possibly a few ex-spooks around here, that could mean any variety of instruments (all of which are smaller than scopes anyway).

Re: Ditto! - GE - 08-28-2006

Thanks to advanced stealth methods my wife doesn't really KNOW, but yesterday I showed the **special** place to my son and he shook his head stating I was badly sick in my mind.

The good point is, he is 7 years old so he can't stop me.

The bad point is, even a 7-years old thinks I'm mad.

He still hasn't realized he could blackmail me, so no pocket money - for now...

Re: Ditto! - Larry Corrado - 08-28-2006

Bill,

Yes,... Bug... That's ham radio lingo for a semiautomatic key, isn't it? I haven't heard the term in ages, but I used one when I was on the air as K9HCP in the late 1950s.

Thanks for the memory.

Larry
