42's Keyboard layout drawing - Marx Pio - 02-02-2005 Hi all you HP calcs fans.. Does anybody here has the drawing in *.cdr(CorelDraw) or *.dwg(AutoCAD) format of the HP42's keyboard layout? Need this to make a face plate made with plastic transparency film in roland blade cut plotter. I think it is a better way to avoid contact between finger sweat and the 42's faceplate. BTW, I got my second 42 for 50 bucks. Really mint^2 condition. Should I use it or keep in a box inside a safe? Thanks in advance.

By the way, would you ever contemplate over not using another electronic device worth $200 (e.g. a PDA, Stereo, Computer, TV etc) because its too valuable!? :-)
Best regards,
Re: 42's Keyboard layout drawing - Jeff O. - 02-03-2005 Would a .dxf format drawing do?
Re: 42's Keyboard layout drawing - Marx Pio - 02-03-2005 For sure!! Can I see it? Thanks a lot
Re: 42's Keyboard layout drawing - Richard Garner - 02-03-2005 I would be interested too.
The real world - Marx Pio - 02-03-2005 Erick, You really really right!. I drive a Fiat car in a town that has the worse traffic in the world (Manaus) and it cost to me many, many thousands bucks, why keep an HP42S in a safe for just 50 bucks? ;-) Thanks for to keep me in the real world. :-)) Greetings from Brazil!

While I agree with your statement that it's best to use Now try and get an HP42S (HP-15C, HP-29C) just as easily ... Even better, do your very best (even eBay) and try and get a SHARP PC-1425 Statistics (or a PC-1440 CAP-X, or a PC-1445 CASE) Pocket Computer, price notwithstanding ... Should you ruin your TV, you can get another in less than 24 hours, give or take 20 hours. Should you ruin (or lose) your HP42S, it can take a number of days or weeks (and some risks) to get another. If it's an HP-29C, it may take a number of months or years. And in the case of the aforementioned SHARP machines, it might take you even longer, if ever. Price's not the problem. The problem is availability.

Re: 42's Keyboard layout drawing - Richard Garner - 02-03-2005 Jeff, Thank you for the 42s keyboard layout. I don't have my 42s with me at the moment to check, but I printed the drawing out at a 1:1 scale and it looks like there is no problem in laying it in place after cutting out for the keys.
Thanks again.
