[Restoration] Buffing with Armor All? - Peter Khor - 09-26-2000

I've *heard* from somewhere (UL?) that protectant sprays such as Armor All will actually accelerate plastic/vinyl/rubber deterioration. Any truth to the matter?

I'm thinking of using STP's Son of a Gun (funny name, eh? it's a US product) Protectant spray to give a little spiff to plastic/vinyl/rubber parts of a calc (on the bottle it says: Reduces UV that cause fading and cracking, restores luster, non toxic, no alcohol or solvents).

Thots? Comments? Experience?
