Re: HP65 card reader problem - john kegan - 09-14-2000 Does anyone know where one can find a new roller. Secondly is there a special tool required to remove the roler gear assembly? Thanks!
Re: HP65 card reader problem - Matthew Riehl - 09-15-2000 You can replace the roller with standard hardware store O-Rings. I believe that they are .125" I.D. and .250" O.D., but check the "How To" article in the Article Forum on this website for exact dimensions. Just remove the old rubber from the internal metal shaft, clean everthing thoroughly, and put the O-Rings where the original rubber was. You don't need any special tools, just small screw drivers and maybe a set of needle nose pliers. I did invest in a small set of screw drivers from Radio Shack, just to have some good quality small screw drivers more than anything else.

Hope this helps.
