Questions for a 33S Beta Tester - Tony David Potter - 07-01-2003

I remember us having several regulars on this board being 12C Platinum beta testers, so I have some questions for anyone who is a 33S beta tester. If necessary, anonymity is better than nothing. Since the tech-service bots still disavowed knowledge of the HP-12C Platinum until last week, I'm hoping we can get some answers to tide us over until the HP-33S is released.

1. What architecture will be used? The Pioneer Series (HP-32SII or HP-42), the Voyager Series (HP-11, HP-15, HP-12C Platinum, the Cosmos series (HP-6S, 9S, and 30S), or something new?

2. Will it be exclusively RPN, RPL, or a dual-system series like the 12C-Platinum?

3 If it has ALG entry, will it be arithmetic (3 + 4 * 5 = 35) or algebraic (3 + 4 * 5 = 23)?

4. Is it programmable? If so, how many programming steps are available to the user? Does using this space cut down on space available for variables/memory registers?

5. What standard features/programs does it have built in?
Solving for roots of equations? Definite integration? Statistics packages?

6. Will it have a dot-matrix display of a fixed element display?

7. How much of the stack is visible at a time? One line? Two lines? 4 Lines?

I'm probably forgetting some obvious stuff, which I'm sure my esteemed colleagues will add to this question.

Thanks ahead of time.

Tony David Potter

Tony:

If I were a beta tester, I would be deeply offended that you are asking me to break a non-disclosure agreement. We don't have much when we enter this world, and we don't have much when we leave. If we can keep our integrity in tact, I beleive that is a plus.

I sincerely hope that no one answers your questions.

No offense intended - just my thoughts.

John

John,

I apologize if I offended you. I didn't even think about that.

Tony David.
