Can you tell a Halfnut by it's SN? - steve - 03-26-2003

What were the production runs for the Fullnut and Halfnut? If I have a serial number that begins with a 2526S (1985, week 26) can I tell what type of "nut" it is without actually seeing the 41cx?

Much easier to just look at the LCD. See http://www.hpmuseum.org/collect.htm#variations and scroll down to HP-41C for the picture.

No, there is no clear demarcation between fullnut and halfnut serial numbers.

No. And you can't tell if it's a half or fullnut
given that it's a CX either.
