opening hp 15c for repair - FORTIN Pascal - 10-10-2013

Hi everyone, i realized that the bezel of my 15c has a bump on it and I would like to take it off to straighten it and maybe scrub it to remove some scratch and dirty goo.

as anyone done this before and would be willing to explain me the procedure ?

Thank you very much

Here ou go!

Bezel repair

Scroll through all the postings.

The restored 10C got a donor bezel in perfect shape from a DEAD 15c. So you can remove a bezel with hair dryer heat and knife.

Cheers.

Hi Geoff,

it's been some time since we last heard about your long awaited book about repairing HP calcs. If it is available already I'd like to order a copy.

Best regards

Karl

Thank you for your help, I however don't think I have the guts to heat it up without any more precise indication. Your guide would be great however. I would not risk breaking my new fav calculator for a poor dent and scratches on the bezel :( maybe if one goes off for parts to a reasonable price I'll grab it... It is the same bez for all the voyager series ? Buying a 12c for the bezel would reduce the price by a lot !

Thank you very much
