[OT] Happy Father's Day! - Les Wright - 06-17-2012 I would guess that many of us here are fathers, in many cases grandfathers. So happy day to us all! Seems like a fine day to treat myself to a USB-41 ;)

Best regards. Re: [OT] Happy Father's Day! - Les Wright - 06-17-2012 Of course! How silly of me, especially as I have ventilated so much of late regarding the international composition of this forum and the blinders of Americocentrism. I was indeed referring to the day as it is recognized in Canada and the US.
Happy belated day to you and our Spanish father members!

Looks like the third Sunday in June is observed in many other countries too, including the homes of many of our members: [link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father's_Day]Father's Day around the World[/link]
So, Happy Father's day to (many) of our fathers, and belated Father's Day to Valentin ;) Edited: 17 June 2012, 3:28 p.m.
Re: [OT] Happy Father's Day! - Gerson W. Barbosa - 06-17-2012 August 12th in Brazil, this year. Some years it coincides with my daughter's birthday. Anyway, congratulations to all those it applies today! As of me, I took this Sunday afternoon to install Harald's USB board into my second WP 34S. Just finished! :-) Regards, Gerson.

For the files: in Germany, Father's Day falls on Ascension Day. Re: [OT] Happy Father's Day! - Valentin Albillo - 06-18-2012 Quote: Thanks a lot, same to you and all worldwide dads & gramps ! In Spain, March 19th commemorates St. Joseph, Virgin Mary's husband and thus Christ's stepfather, so it's been traditionally commemorated as Father's Day as well. Further, it's usually considered an official holiday so people don't go to work that day and can celebrate with their relatives, which is most convenient.
Best regards from V. Re: [OT] Happy Father's Day! - Andrés C. Rodríguez (Argentina) - 06-18-2012 It was father's day in Argentina too!
